Someone *coughs* reminded me about this... :P and I notice that I actually wanted to try to finish this now.

It's supposed to be a Friesian. There was a photo reference for the horse, though for example the mane had no reference actually.

A pencil drawing, made it darker on computer though because I never can draw anything to be dark enough. It looks ok on the paper as it is actually but when I scanned it, I guess it turned even lighter... so, had to do something about that.

....and I know how it is with scanners lightening things.. my new one does that all the time xD

I bet I know who it was. ;)

I think it's sometimes better to darken on the computer. When I make areas black on my sheet of paper, I usually end up raping the paper. I get a bunch of fuzzies. :/ Anyways, the way you draw manes is gorgeous. I can never get the same amount of fluidity that you do. The horse is of course very beautiful.

This IS a friesian and a very beautiful one indeed! You did a very good job on ther mane (as usual ;P, you're the master of drawing manes... if I may say so) and on the face of course. It looks so life-like. It seems like I could touch it :floating:. And the texture is outstanding! You have the ability to make them look so *thinks* realistic and a bit fuzzy... I love it! :)
