Escape over the edge of reality.
That's why I draw. At the moment I really didn't even have time for this but I needed it.
This is something I've for so long wanted to try to draw. I'm not going to go on about this any more than anything else I've drawn recently but if the slight surreal feel doesn't tell it to you, I can admit that it's inspired by a dream. I guess it's weird to see a landscape in my gallery but I actually very often feel like drawing sceneries, I just don't think it's something I can do. This drawing can look very simple to you but it took me quite a lot of time to make it.
Colour pencils, significantly enhanced digitally because I'm not good enough with colour pencils to ever get anything look like I want to on the paper. But like this, I can be happy with it. And as always, I submit this kind of work under traditional art because no matter how much I've changed it on computer, I have not drawn a single line digitally.

Haha, I guess almost everything I do nowadays is... If an empty paper is a door to the escape I'm looking for and a pencil a the key to unlock it, I'm afraid the open space would still remain empty without their music. I've always had these thoughts/images in my head that I want to get out but I don't seem to see them clearly without music. I didn't have a silent moment while drawing this but this time the ispiration is more of gereral kind and not from one single song. All I can say is that there is a place only Nightwish can take you. That's what my inspiration is based on rather than trying to interpret any certain song or part of lyrics.
